Hair Care

PRE-INSTALLATION:

-it is completely normal for clients to experience minimal shedding prior to and possibly after installation

-prior to installation, hair should be thoroughly washed and conditioned (once washed and conditioned it tends to show its true density)

DAILY CARE:

-we recommend brushing the hair at least twice a day to maintain shiny, healthy and tangle-free tresses

-we suggest using a minimal amount of hair oil (ie. 2-3 drops of argan oil) to enhance the luster of the hair

WEEKLY CARE:

-depending on the products used in the hair, we advise clients to wash the hair 1-2 times per week; we highly recommend using sulphate free shampoo and conditioner

-to reduce hair breakage, we advise combing/detangling hair from end to root with a wide tooth comb, during both the conditioning process and while dry

-during the washing/conditioning process, we advise clients to be extremely gentle when washing lace items to avoid any unnecessary rips and tears

LONG TERM CARE:

-in regards to longevity, we suggest trimming the ends (1-2 inches) regularly, approximately every 3-4 months, but we advise consulting a professional first

-for best results, we recommend re-installing bundles every 3-6 weeks and lace items every 2 weeks

COLOURING HAIR:

-hair can be dyed to blonde (Colour #613) but we recommend seeking professional assistance when colouring hair

-if bleaching without a colourist, we recommend that clients use a 20 volume developer

HEAT STYLING:

-if necessary, we recommend blow drying hair at a medium heat

-when heat styling, we encourage clients to use a heat protectant as this helps with the manageability of the hair

-avoid excessive heat styling as this can cause possible damage to the hair

HELPFUL TIPS (to prevent breakage and damage):

-for best results, we suggest letting the hair thoroughly air dry

-to reduce buildup in the hair, avoid using excess products

-DO NOT sleep with wet hair as this will cause tangling and possibly matting

-when in water (ie. swimming), we recommend braiding the hair or placing it in a high ponytail to avoid tangling

-for protective purposes (breakage, frizziness), we suggest wearing silk or satin scarfs at night
